HOT FLASH chronicles the history of the legendary blues band Saffire - The Uppity Blues Women. With their potent combination of sassy lyrics and fierce playing styles, the trio of Ann Rabson, Gaye Adegbalola, and Andra Faye have entertained audiences for over twenty-five years. For the first time, Saffire's complete story is told. The trio overcame personal struggles and industry stereotypes to emerge as one of the most well-known blues bands playing today. The documentary features original footage and photographs from the band's personal collection. Interviews with current and former band members, record company executives and music critics provide an insider's look into the band. Hot Flash includes concert footage of Saffire performing at the historic Ram's Head in Maryland and the Wolf Trap in Virginia. With extra concert footage and extended interviews, Hot Flash is a must have for any blues fan and serves as a fitting tribute to these music pioneers.

Sarah Knight’s latest feature is In the Land of Fire & Ice which stars Oscar nominee, Shohreh Aghdashloo (“The House of Sand and Fog,” “The Expanse”). The Athena Award-winning script tells the story of a high-powered Kuwaiti CEO who makes a strategic professional retreat to Iceland where she falls for a charming Scottish hotelkeeper. Her narrative feature debut, Vino Veritas, starring Emmy winner, Carrie Preston (“The Good Wife,” “True Blood”), won Best Narrative Feature at Cinema on the Bayou and was released by Gravitas Ventures. Mark Adams of Screen Daily writes, “A smartly and slickly made indie drama, blessed with four fine performances…director Sarah Knight keeps Vino Veritas moving nicely, and makes good use of her interiors.” Sarah’s documentary, Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend, is a portrait of Nicole Sherry McFadyen, Head Groundskeeper for the Baltimore Orioles - one of only two women ever to hold that position in Major League Baseball. Diamonds premiered at the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame where it remains in the permanent archives.
